Hi guys, is there any way to stop the glove box light from staying on. Is it controlled by a mercury switch of some kind? Thanks, Richie

Not sure if those are mercury or the steel ball switches but there is some kind of switch built in right behind the bulb. If you slide the lamp and socket from the holder assy will it turn off after you shake the assy or rotate the socket in different orientations and then reinstall it? If you shake it can you hear something rattling? If it still won't turn off at all after some shaking then temporarily disconnecting from the clock terminal might be a short term solution until we can figure out the repair.

Thanks Howard, I've had it disconnected for a while and just thought it would be nice if it worked properly. I'll try your suggestion tomorrow. Thanks again Howard. Richie.
