I've been looking at these caps all my life and I've seen some odd ones. Before all of my parts and my 1956 Caribbean were stolen, I even had two sets of these caps with cloissone centers. But I'm wondering about these.

I also know that repopped caps came out on the market several years ago. I know the first there were just repopped center caps... then whole wheels and caps were repopped.

So I'm inclined to classify the center cap on the right as a repop. Trouble is... this one has been around a lot of years. Lot of years. Notice it is far shallower than the factory original cap on the left. So... what is it?
