Tired of hurting my back

I made a push bracket to push dead cars in my Garage. I had welded a plate to an I beam drilled 4 holes and bolted it to the hitch and Taped an old tire on it works great. I also can pull the car out by wrapping a chain around the bumper and i beam. I also put a bungi on the steering wheel and stopped every few feet and adjusted the steering as needed.

Nice setup.. I myself try to preserve my back as much as possible. What I ended up doing is embedding some heavy duty eyebolts from McMaster at the back of each bay when my floor was poured. I added some washers and nuts for extra bite. I simply hook up an electric winch and either pull the vehicle in or lower it out (I have a bit of a grade leaving the building). Works like a champ thus far. Mine was out of necessity since my attached garage opposes the shop and I could easily have a runaway car and bad situation. If someone wanted to replicate this on a poured floor, Simpson Strong-Tie makes several epoxy products for anchor bolts rated for hurricane zones (actually used that on my portal frame anchor bolts).

Good idea.

I happen to have an ancient skidsteer. When I need to move an old car, I remove the bucket, and put an old spare on it, strapped to the mounting plate. Then push the car around.

I do like sitting down to do the work...
