Nice work with your improvements on the spacer and link.
While u're at it, and it is difficult to tell from pics, but if the sharp internal corners of the bracket directly above the spindle are indeed sharp corners then it would be a good idea to slightly radius those corners. Even if just a 1/16" radius. Sharp corners create stress risers and subject to cracking under vibrations, road shock, hi heat, or extreme sudden impact or load. ALL of which are characteristic of demands placed on brakes.

Yes, the 1/2 wheel lugs should be just fine. Just for kix, if u have a wheel with NO tyre on it then weigh it on a bathroom scale or more accurate scale if u have one. A bathroom scale should be good enuf tho. Then one of us can weigh a 55-56 wheel or other modern wheel that runs 1/2" lugs.
Someone correct me if i am wrong but a quick scaled measurement of my 56 Exec shows 1/2 lugs.

I'll take a look at those inside corners...I think they have a slight radius but I'll make sure. When I was a young Test Engineer for Pratt and Whitney I was given the task of determining why an Exhaust Nozzle Control heat shield was cracking...well...it was obvious even to me as a new engineer that there was NO radius on an inside corner...none called out on the drawing and none on the part. It cracked!!
Later in life my neighbor said his Roto-tiller wouldn't start. Ultimately I had to look inside the engine to get to the problem. The camshaft and drive gear were a single casting and there was once again NO radius in the cam-to-gear mating area. It cracked!! So, a word to the wise should be sufficient as even folks who should know better design and build parts that have problems built-in.

Hello,
This is my approach for the adapter plate for my 1956 Patrician. The disc brakes use the original spindle and wheels. This is the second generation of disc brakes for my car. Jerry Attach file: (13.62 KB)

Here is a photo of my disc brake on the Patrician.
By using the Packard hub the senior wheels (5X5 bolt circle) and the wheel geometry stay orginal. Jerry

I am using the calipers included in the kit from Kanter...and I don't know where they originated or whose disc pads are used with them...I will use my Car Quest contact in the near future and see if he can match the pads up with some standard issue. Kanter has so far been silent regarding my inquiries on this subject.
Your installation looks great. The Kanter kit also retains the stock spindle with a bearing I.D. spacer sleeve for the inner bearing. M.
