Sunday, June 10th is the 3rd Annual Cars 'R' Stars @ the PPG.
This event is hosted by the PPG (Packard Motor Car Foundation), Motor City Packards (PAC) and Veteran Motor Car Club of America - Detroit Chapter. Last year we had 314 cars and an estimated 2400 people attend the show. carsrstars.com/home This is one of our largest events each year and proceeds go to the preservation and restoration of the PPG. Just thought I would let you guys know how it went last weekend at the PPG. It could not have been better!
We had a good weather forecast all week and on Sunday it was 91 degrees and sunny - so the cars and the people turned out. First reports are the we had 340 show cars, that is up substantially from last year. I worked the admission gate and my guess is that attendance was up 25% from last year. We got some good local press coverage on Fox TV early in the morning and that helped to motivate some folks to attend.
