Leaking Heater Control Valve

After trying to adjust my Heater Control Valve on my Clipper 1956( it was stuck in full heat position), it's started leaking.
Does anybody know if there's a rebuild kit for this valve?
Core return is very expensive from Norway, so I want to try rebuilding it.
I have not yet removed the valve, so I don't know if it's
part 444644 or 475064.

Thanks.

Tom

There is a rebuild kit available from NAPA/Balkamp for these valves, though I don't recall if it applies to valves as late as 1955/56 though I don't believe these valves changed much over the years. The kit is about $10.00 You'll find an excellent tutorial by Big Kev on the repair of the valve in the "Literature and Manuals" section.
