Here comes Edna Murphy, an American actress of the silent era. Acc. to the Screenland Magazine she was the most photographed movie star of 1925.
What you see below could be a 1929 633 Runabout. What a lady would probably see is, that Edna wears modern looking shoes.

There's a v12 packard not to far from here that belonged to Bob Hope! I need to ask the owner if he lets me post some pictures that I took.

Be prepared for a photo series of some length, showing Charles Lindbergh. A slick-tired 1928 speedster breaks the first ground. Lindbergh seems trying to look fast even without moving.

Thanks for firing this optical broadside. The above shown car of the magician Howard Thurston (who pulled not only rabbits but sometimes even bunnies out of his hat) seems to be equipped with wodden-spoked wheels, not the latest cut in 1932.

The description of the below attached pic says: "Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh inspected the new Diesel type of airplane motor, designed by L.M. Woolson, a Packard engineer, at the Packard Motor Car company's factory yesterday, accompanied by Major Thomas Lanphier.
Both Lindbergh and Lamphier expressed themselves as highly pleased with the motor which uses furnace oil instead of gasoline for fuel, depending on the compression of air to bring the mixture to the point of ignition.

Have you ever seen a Ford with three Packard engines? And, to top it all off, three Packard diesel engines?


Ford 11-AT-1 Trimotor, 1930, with 3 Packard 225-hp DR-980 diesel engines.

How about a Packard "Pacemaker"? Packard driven hydroplanes, flying boats, ... go this way for the story, chronicling the days, when Packard employed pilots and even a chief test pilot.

The "Deutsche Staatsbibliothek" stores a copy of the Auto Magazin 01/1928 that reports on Pauline Starke (1901 - 1977), an American silent-film actress, who owned a Packard.

The caption of pic #1 reads "8 cylinder 24/112 HP - luxury car from the American diva Pauline Starke, navy blue and cream-colored in coupe form."

What does 24 mean?
It came from the German tax computation, valid until 3/1928 and was derived from

x = 0.3 number of cylinders * (cylinder bore [cm])? * piston stroke [m]

All in all I come to an engine displacement of 383.3 cui and hope it is halfway correct for the shown towncar.
