I talked to the man in Louisville with the 37 and he told me that the grill is gone and not just of the car, the interior is also missing, and it has the original 6 cylinder engine still in it. He also said that I'd need to put it on a different frame. Apparently the frame is rotted. He is not too far from me so I may take a look at it just to be sure but he really sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Gene

I agree with you, BDC. But considering what was done to the rest of the car, the upholstering could be a lot worse.

I am intrigued by the 1937 Super Eight in Los Angeles. That car looks really complete, with the exception of the hood ornament and dual sidemounts. Restored that car would be a knockout! I think his price for a car of this quality and rarity is most reasonable.

Wish I had the money to go after it ...

That super 8 also needs a roof insert and if its been exposed to the elements than the wood might need some work.

That 1937 in No. Spokane with the gold fenders. How many mice were killed and skinned to create that interior??

Some one must have seen Goldfinger 12 too many times. While I'm generally opposed to the death penalty, I am thinking of making an exception in cases like these. Just what the world needs: Another Chevy dressed up for Trick or Treat!

I must disagree with the gold criticism (and somewhere there is a 1985 Ninety Eight missing seats) - it's best that a Chevy not look like a real Packard
