Some of you who have been here for a long time may regard threads like this as a waste of time.

From my perspective, this has been a lot of useful information that clears up a number of uncertainties for me (and others, I hope).

FYI MAECO stands for Monroe Auto Equipment Co. These are OE shocks

couple of years out,

found this,

part no 50556,


there are rancho rs 9000xl, rs 5000 series shocks,

pt, rs999136,,,,rs5115,,

kyb,,pt, 343127,,

i think i have camero front shocks, will have to check,

the rancho you need to press out or in the mounting bar.

they may to long of travel,

The correct Monroe number for the front is 32066 and the rear Monroe number is 33049. I have these on 55 400 & 56 Caribbean. I recently emailed Monroe with their application error, but highly doubt any corrections where made.
