What date did the 55 Caribbean's debut, and were sold?

Found this under the driver side pad.
The part number did not match up to a Packard number that I cold find. But I also could not find the item in the parts book either, so maybe it was part of some larger trim? There is a listing for 56 pad.

So while I was looking it listed a 2 and 4 way power seat for 5582. I can't remember seeing a 2 way power seat.

I can't say I'm surprised the # isn't in the parts book, there are many Packard items with a number that doesn't show, casting numbers for example. Another would be individual components of an assembly where Packard did not intend to sell the individual parts. I'm guessing that Packard only offered individual seat cushions as a finished assembly.

That Koylon foam is amazing stuff, mine was still very good and serviceable even after all these years.

Both of theses numbers are in the parts book.
