Can anyone verify if the Hash engine has a CAST Iron or STEEL cam shaft?????

hi, mike,
hash is the shorthand used here for the 1955-early '56 Hudson and Nash which had the Packard V8. thnx, jack vines

Let me guess, it 's the 2wo lobes nearest the front of the engine and furthest away from the oil pump???? Quite possible then it is a steel cam

I wouldn't say that they're the furthest away, but they're up towards the front if I remember right. If it matters, this engine was run as an irrigation pump engine using propane.
