i forgot about this plug, , primimg no oil,, well, i pulled the pan and oil pump.... you don't need to,, the dist. is blocking it, so all you have to do is pull the dist. and knock out expansion plug,

its a 3/8s pipe, plug hex inside, picture long extention ..

so if you can't oil prime, this is one reason why...

Could you elaborate a little more? This pic is of the rear of the engine-bellhousing area? the gallery plug was left out by machinist after tanking/cleaning? or installed incorrectly?

custom,

yes rear of engine bell housing, this plug is the oil galley for rocker shaft left side, the right side the plug is on back of block, can't see it with picture,

but, with left side because of dist. its inside the block, ]]

i just forgot about it..,,when something is down for 20 years, ,, the memory goes..............

it was taken out for cleaning.. those oil ways were dirty,, tanking does not really clean it, you need to run a brush thru them, i bought a set of 4 foot foot long brushes.

when i get the pan on i will take another picture, showing the other plug..
