Howard, sometimes you can see the nut just by glancing in the car.

Randy, Maybe I should have been more specific on which nut I was referring to. If you meant the one viewable above the glass, then I prefer the word eccentric.

Been thinking of other ways to remove the vent glass and other than the tool you're looking for or the suggestion on weatherstrip thread of making own with toggle clamp, am at a loss.

Me too, Howard. It's easy enough to remove the whole vent pane. For now I guess I'll just polish the existing chrome.
