Hi All,

Been sometime since I have posted. I have finally dropped my 31 883 468 Coupe off at the upholsterer to have the interior finally done. The trim man had asked me if I knew how the Passenger Seat-back was fasten. I told him I am not sure and would ask the best Packard info site the question.

Does anyone here know if it was fasten to the rear wood structure and if so how was it done or does it just set in place so it can be removable?

Thanks

I once saw a 1930 model 726 sedan under restoration and I remember the fixed seatback had brackets on the sides that were screwed into the structural wood of the "B" pillars. I'm sure it must have been fastened to the floor also but I didn't see how that may have been done. I don't know if that applies to your rumbleseat coupe or not, but perhaps some screw holes might be visible in that area of the coupe as well.
