One question I would have is how is the car registered in your state. California and many other states used the motor number for the title. If yours is registered by the old number I think you might need to see what your DMV requires. Out here it might take a third party inspection and verification of the different motor number or using another number on the car or most likely the assigning of a completely new number and new ID plate.

If the motor number is not needed for registration then IMO photographs and a folder with a record of numbers plus a narrative of what you did would be of benefit and appreciated by the next owner.

Thank you Howard, I will have to do a little research with the DMV but as of now, I have everything documented for the next car taker.

After many months of trials and tribulations (since Thanksgiving), I finally have my car running and will be able to reassemble ready for the Springtime.
