Has anyone attempted to overhaul the steering box and control column of a 1928. Mine has the worm and sector type gear. I have the cutaway drawing from the parts book but do not know the procedures to overhaul.

Any information or steps would help before I start tearing it apart.

I believe Tom Wilcox did this job on his 30. It is described in his blog: Packard Paddock. He may still have it up, Google it.
