The description on the Tractor Parts website says it's 3 15/16" long; is that the length of the spring alone or spring and hooks?

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my "new member" post, but I'm a mechanical moron. I just drive them; don't know anything about how they work or how to fix them.

Most of the time when a single dimension is all that is given for an extension spring they use the relaxed measurement from inside hook to inside hook -- or, in the case of special configured springs like that tractor spring, the distance between the points where the spring would attach.
