1938 Super 8/Twelve dashboard

Quite a regular

Does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the glass face on one of the instruments of the dashboard of a Super 8?
My radio dial, the middle instrument, has a cracked glass and I do have a new one. But WOW, what a mess under the dashboard. Other than pure open heart surgery, any tricks to gain access or how to replace that glass face?
