Congratulations on your first show - I'm sure the car received a lot of very well-deserved compliments. Just a thought on vapor lock, these 55/56 Packards are very immune to vapor lock except in the most strenuous of conditions like low speed or idling in temperatures of 100? F and higher, and/or driving at high altitudes; perhaps the gasoline there is more prone to vapor lock but you might want to examine your fuel system more thoroughly to make sure the electric pump isn't just masking some other problem. And I'd only recommend using the electric to prime the carburetor after sitting for a week or so, or if vapor lock does occur, but I'd never consider using it as the primary fuel pump.

Thanks,
The electric pump has been installed just after the fuel tank, it works nice. My car will be featured in a French Cars magazine next June. retroviseur.fr/ The next great operation for the winter will be the adaptation kit for Olds oil pump.

My car is published this month in the French car magazine "Retroviseur" with professional photos by Cathy Dubuisson.
