Think I am going to try your idea. I ordered a 1 wide needle bearing.. And I think the needles are smaller.. Will know when I get it.

So going to machine a 1/2 wide spacer that will be pressed in bell housing. And bored. Aluminum bronze.

Then press in needle bearing. So end will be like bushing. And hold oil back.

Doing. TSI...noticed that there was not much. Room if any for oil return.

I was using .500..wide seal . going to use .300 wide seal.

Looking at a spare bell housing. Good size gap on stock bell housing.

So...I am thinking if adding a relif hole. Return.

I have needle bearing oil hole at pump in..so it's getting full pressure..so thinking of moving it 1/4 turn..90% . to slow it down

Then adding return suction relief hole. 180 %. From oil in hole.

Not sure on hole size..1/8 or 1/4 inch.

Suction..return is open now.

I did add a hole in return at center of bearing..oil way..

Oil hole for bearing is split across those holes. So it's not getting full pressure..like before..

Could also be that the setscrew and locknut loosened on the manual shift lever and someone tried to pin it.

The saying about cars being made.. Monday people are coming off a weekend.

Friday they are ready for the weekend..so that's where their mind is..

It's something like buy a car. Made Tuesday or Thursday..

Maybe the one shaft. Was an update..Packard might of said. The other roll pin is not needed.. With collar..set screw..

Added protection.

All soldered..

Used my Lionel kw transformer to test..motor. With bridge .. Just enough amps.. The bridge did get hot..

Wires are ready to put in connector.

Friction tape on cover. .

The end cover on motor...the red and green go to brushes

Push them in ..to pull cover off.. But you only can go so far..because of short jumper wire. From coil windings to brush.

Grey and Brown. Positive to either one to run motor. Cw..ccw..
