I have a 8 cylinder block dated 4/21/28 and manifold .Would this be the 29 super 8 or the older 8 cylinder. The engine is longer than a 29 standard 8 . and the bore is bigger I cannot add a picture because its surrounded by other heavy stuff that I cant move by myself.

Just to get the nomenclature right, no such thing as a "Super 8" in that time frame, that designation wasn't used until 1932. By the "older" 8 cylinder engines I guess you mean the 1st and 2nd series Eight which had a 3-3/8 bore; based on the casting date it can't be one of them. Since the bore is bigger than the Standard Eight (and the casting date is too early), with that casting date it is most likely a 4th Series Single Eight (3? bore). Check the motor number to confirm.
