Tape over a vacuum port instead of it being plugged would cause those problems. Also check the vacuum systems for the wipers and distributoradvance. I've had leaks in vacuum systems on more than one car and they cause a lot of mischief Regards John Harley

Thanks John..I'm gonna look at all that.seems to have good vacuum at wiper motor and the line looks ok.im gonna look at dust and put a gouge on it..thanks again..Dan
