When I first got my 56 back in 1988
I wondered about the rain diverter
That was a long time ago..

If you have broken springs, yes you could
look at either Ford or Cheby parts to see if
they would work.
Or you could make your own out of
piano wire, it has a high carbon content
which is what you want for a spring.

I just received a 7/32 x 36" piece for the
springs on my 62 Ford.

If this is an idea you think you could do
then do a how to make a spring on YouTube.
the one I saw was very informative and he
made the spring while he talked.
Remember every thing on a car was first made
by hand.
