Seems Packard had 2 shock mounts for 55.56.

Inner / outer.

My shock is on back side of mount.

Where my dads is in front. And is think Dwight shows in his t l manual his is in front.

So what is the difference.

See if you can find some of Craig's old posts on his troubles with something breaking on his 55 shock mounts. No idea if any of his photos survived the server move but he showed what happened and I think explained the differences between 55 and 56 mounts. As I recall after he changed a broken 55 mount and it broke again he went to the 56 design because he felt it was stronger.

I broke these and had them welded .
