I always like that era in the roadsters, they have the "golf club" door. Today you have to measure SUVs, etc. to see if clubs will fit. Compartment kinda takes care of that issue...
So if there's no old hickory clubs in there, they were not golfers. I suspect a 2 pc fly rod and maybe a small tackle box would fit but I don't think I'd drive it to the stream.
Nice car.
