Most likely a prototype photo. It has the holes for the filter on the cylinder head, but the question being addressed is the proper way to delete the optional filter.

I have fixed cars where that line was removed to boost oil pressure by used car dealers of old. As well, there are cars floating around on the junknet that have it removed. Curious thing is there seems to be enough splash to preclude immediate damage to worn engines.
