I think this clutch is "done"

Started tearing into a '47 Clipper engine with the plan of putting it in my '40 110. Dropped the pan to clean it out and check the bottom end, and found this in the bottom of the bellhousing.

Yet another element to replace, in addition to the water pump and all the normal wear and tear items.

Almost forgot; I found this deformed, oval shaped hunk of sheetmetal in the bottom of the oil pan.

Any ideas? It's about an inch wide. No idea what it could be from, as I'm limited in my forays into Packard engines.

It looks like the baffle plate from the bottom of the oil filler tube.
If the tube is installed wrong the baffle plate can be hit by one of the crankshaft counterweights and damaged.

That would make sense. The oil filler tube does not appear to be original to the engine, and is a little sloppy-loose. I'll compare it to one of the other engines.
