Trying to find out how to remove the horn ring from the steering wheel to access the wiring. Tried looking at the Packard Paddock, but nothing is archived there. Tried finding contact information for Tom Wilcox to no avail.

Any ideas?

The horn button surround on my 633 could be removed by pushing it down and turning it anticlockwise, I expect the 526 would be the same.

I have not taken our 526 horn apart, but I did have our 326 horn apart and took some pics.
The bezel/plate (whatever you call it.) has 2 male notches 180 degrees apart.
The base, which is attached to the steering column, has 2 female notches in the middle of a groove.
You need to press the bezel to be able to slide the male notches in the groove to release the bezel.
For the 326 I am able to slide clockwise or counter-clockwise; I am not sure about the 526.
I hope this helps.

Bob

Thanks for the info, the pictures are really helpful.

I'll pass it along to my mechanic.
