On November 20, 2022, on the way to the Florida Packard Club Fall Meet, my 1941 model 1908 was hit on the driver side by a Dodge Hemi pickup that ran a red light.The front frame was bent, the bumper bent, and sheet metal bent or mangled. To add insult to injury, the tow truck that brought it back to my garage damaged the right rear fender. After a 12 month wait for the restoration shop to have room on its schedule to do the collision repair, it was taken in and work began. The first thing they did was take the banged up front bumper off and send it out for repair and rechroming. While it was in the shop, I had the entire brake system gone through as the brakes had failed while it sat in my garage. 8 months later (the primary hold up being the wait for the return of the chrome) the car is ready to return back to my garage. I went and inspected the work and I am pleased with the repairs. Hopefully she will be back in my garage next week.
