Good morning Packard fans! Happy Friday to you and yours. The whole lift mechanism for the cowl vent in my car (1930 Model 740 sedan) is gone. The door is there, but the ratchet, handle, brackets and bits have been long deleted. Can someone with a ‘30 closed car that still has all its bits please photograph that mechanism for us so I can at least see what I’m looking for and how it’s supposed to all fit together? Thanks for any help you can give!

I thought this would be easy but I am 6'4" and getting clear pics under the dash was challenging

I put the last picture just to say, if you are working on the vent, it's time to replace the gasket!
It has to be out of the way to do that job easily. The hard part is getting the bolts and cotter pins
in places that are impossible to get to.

Thank you. That is helpful! I’m only 5’11” and it’s hard for me to crawl under there. I can imagine that it is a real workout at 6’4!
