I love to tell them that my car has a 327 with a five speed. Then you open the hood and you can see their lips move as they count the sparkplugs from front to back.

By the way Matt-does your car have overdrive?

I'm sure the 327 trick is fun, they definitely won't know what to think when I say 288. The mile long straight eight is cool to look at! Mine does not have overdrive.

Those look like factory side mirrors, I'm jealous!

No oil leaks!?!!? Something's wrong!!!!

They are...but the glass is broken on the passenger side and has lost its "mirror" magic on the driver's side. I've seen the prices! Rearview in the windshield isn't bad.

My first thought was kinda like my Harleys "If there ain't none under it, there ain't none in it" but I just changed engine oil after running it through a few heat cycles and only the transmission was 'low.' Not by much.

The oil leak talk reminds me of what an old timer that told me in regards to Detroit diesel engines years ago: "You can take a picture of a Detroit and hang it on a wall and you'll have oil on the floor under it in five minutes."

I like explaining the Ultramatic to people that are used to their modern automatic that has 6 speeds, just a few more than the Ultramatic! LOL
