Cleaned up the Cavalier today, it had several months worth of dirt and dust from working on the rear fenders. Strange thing is while washing it I discovered the trunk seal is leaking, but it has never leaked before. The only thing I can think of is that the trunk has been open the past few weeks while working on the fenders and coating the trunk, and was just closed before I washed it. Maybe it needs a day in the sun for the seal to soften and seal properly again???

The rest of the stainless is going to have to be done soon, repairing and polishing the rear fender trim makes the rest look bad!




I just gave the repairs a couple of coats of Tremclad for now, which looks "okay", but not nearly as good as the original paint. They'll get some proper paint after the rockers and front fenders are done.............maybe next year.

the mission creep monster is ready to strike you. When you do one thing to improve looks the others near by show up appearing dull . Most likely to show up on chrome and stainless trim
