55 vs 56 Radio

Here is an interesting comparison between the 55 and 56 Clipper radios (472046 Packard & Delco, and 480487 Packard / 7267427 Delco, respectively). They are principally of identical construction and operation but the 56 has a significant difference, being the circuit board on it replacing much of the laborious point-to-point wiring.
As far as I can tell, the pricing did not change from 55 to 56.

I also find it interesting how small some of the components have gotten. The biggest difference being C16/C17 which is a 0.47μF, 100V capacitor.
