The profile of the trim strips may differ also between 1801 and 1803

The Packard part number Steele shows is for a 1803. I was curious if the pattern is the same? I have seen Super 8s with chrome strips 120s don't have, but never compared the pattern. Thanks

If you aren’t able to find new rubber, I recently had the running boards on my 1937 138CD done with spray on bed liner since no rubber is available. No, it doesn’t look original to anyone who is really familiar with that era of car, but they look really nice and 90% of the population would never notice. Also, they should wear really well. In the end, I’m really happy with how they look.

My recollection is that the 160 had a sort of pyramidal pattern. Consult the book on 1940 Packard ( exact title escapes me, someone here will know)
The spray urethane can be sanded smooth, with difficulty

Thanks for the replies. My running boards are smooth the ribs are in the rubber. Probably won't look good with no ribs.
It looks like I could get 1940 160 covers. Are they the same if you don't use the chrome strips the 160 uses? Thanks
