Thanks to

Spud, New filter when new tank put in.

I did an electric pump from rock auto. Working 4 psi.

All others are 5 and up.

A u tube video , guy made a vapor kit, for a 65 mustang.
They pressure the tank, at fill tube he has a fitting, runs a hose in trunk to a tube, he made, the outlet goes to air.

Once I get this filter it is a wix, I'll see what happens..

Im going in at the rubber vent hose.

3/4 tee 1/4 adapter.

The gas really comes out, in steady stream. Vent tube is below filler.
So the gas has 2 ways to go, into tank or fill tube, and like things are, least resistance.

Of coarse, one could get creative, and 90 inside the tee shooting gas back to tank.

You might be trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. In nearly 60 years or working on Packards, there have been several times when I thought there was vapor lock but in all cases, it was never the actual problem. I can't tell you remotely what the problem is but I can almost guarantee that it isn't vapor lock so throwing devices at it isn't a fix. It may make it better but the underlying problem is still there.
