If you're gonna make 'em out of wooden dowels, make sure it's a good quality hardwood!

Differences between 55 and 56 pins are covered in one of STB's or mayb SC's. It has to do with the radius ground at the ends.

I fabricated a "tool" to remove these. I am NOT saying this is what you should do, I am just saying it works. Im a bit adventurous and kinda like when the cars fall on me. J/K
I took two pieces of 5/8" all thread, and made some J hooks. I then placed these around the load bearing arm and through the A arms. There is a gap where the hook can come out near the top shock mount. Using large thick washers Tighten em down and the pins can be removed easily. I was a bit nervous but this worked well and I would do it again. The pins i am making are just like Craigs except i have chosen to make the center piece out of hex stock. Thanks for all the input and feedback. This forum kicks ass!

Slick tool JT. Real slick and simple to make too. I'll put in the X-ref forum of this web site.
