Oops!
When I first signed on at the AACA Forums, they limited avatar uploads to an 80x80-pixel image, and that's what I had suggested to BigKev. While the AACA site has apparently changed to allow for larger images, they are then resized, "on the fly", to an 80x80 display, which often results in a grainy appearance. I checked with BigKev about this and he was able to meet you halfway, increasing the maximum size to 120x120. Avatar images are a nice way to personalize your post and make you more recognizable to viewers, but I can't see wasting message body space on anything larger for this purpose. If you can resize your avatar image to no more than 120-pixels in the largest dimension, it'll fly now. Welcome aboard, all! Hope to hear from more good people.

Greetings 55_Clipper!
While this online community is still getting warmed up and waiting to hear more answers to the roll call, newcomers and old friends alike should feel free to start a "NEW TOPIC" on any questions they may have. One of us will reply - as time permits.

Welcome Mr. Pushbutton,
I'm not sure which club you are asking about joining. Since you have successfully posted here, you're already a member of PackardInfo.com, and that's all that is required to participate at this site, which is a non-club. However, since BigKev reactivated this discussion tool (due to many requests for a less restrictive venue), "The Packard V8 Club" has adopted the V-8 Forum - as something of an alternative to the MSN Groups format. Posting in this V-8 forum is NOT restricted to members of the PV8C, but knowledgable members of that club stand ready to help field any legitimate questions on the 55th-56th Series cars. Given your specialty, you'll certainly be welcome to participate. Any V-8 enthusiast who finds this thread and hasn't yet joined "The Packard V-8 Club" would do well to visit the PV8C website and do so now. There are some things at that site, as well as this one, that you won't find at any other club - like an index to all the factory service articles published on the V8 cars (including those by Studebaker) and club projects and parts which are accessible to members only. Membership in PV8C is FREE, with more great things to come. Hope this helps.
