From the auction:

Offered here is the opportunity to acquire one of the truly great vintage Packards of the Veteran Era. This award winning, six-cylinder Packard Phaeton is one of 12 known survivors (in all body styles.)

The Grundy roster of early Packards lists it as the 137 oldest and complete Packard known to exist.

The car was once owned by Warner Brothers Studio and appeared in two scenes of the 1969 movie "The Wild Bunch" starring William Holden and Ernest Borgnine and the iconic movie "East of Eden" with James Dean.

The current owner completed a frame-off restoration in 1985 and the speedometer shows only 187 miles since restoration. It has all of the correct gauges and accessories including the rare gas tank pump and proper patent leather spare tire covers.
