I doubt that there is anything in that building pictured above. But if a Zis can be converted into a U boat or other diving apparatus then maybe a little trek to a lagoon near Lake Toplitz mite be very interesting.

One can't go wrong with this. It is an old Soviet propaganda brochure and has been published by the Soviet Military Administration for the occupied Western Territories. To get it I cheated at cards. There it is in black and white that invariably all of the Packard employees suffered from dire living conditions and when they came to the plant at 4 o'clock in the morning they have been received with sinister grunt. Diametrically opposite the life of Soviet ZIS auto workers. Beautiful girls, brimming over with life, were waiting at the gate to join in singing the chorus of overflowing Attach file: (30.23 KB)

Once upon a time in America ...
It is, if not as old as the world, at least as old as the world the most of us know by own observation. Even 1948, that means 63 years ago, people discussed the similarities of Packards and ZIS's, their degree of variance and equality and the genesis of Soviet Packards. In March 1948 the LIFE magazine published a photograph showing bitter altercations in Prague. Weeks later a couple of letters from readers contained statements on the pictured car.
