Good question Howard. I will measure it with calipers tomorrow - don't think it's anymore than 1/8 inch but it did fit snugly on my 400. I have two plastic dinner mats that I am going to use to sandwich the felt between to allow easy install of the felt on the Caribbean.

Thanks for the info on the springs. I got a set on ebay for $20. I'll keep watching to see the continuing felt saga.
