I'm not a "brainy type" at all but according to how I read the DOT codes found here

"2606" would be the 26th week (mid June) of 2006.
The DY code is for the Denham Rubber Corp. Leavittsburg Ohio based upon ths infor I found here.

Yes, I read the date code the same way. I'm guessing that the "K6X" identifies the product (mold), in this case a 7:00 x 17 x 6-ply rated single whitewall. Next time it's convenient I'll take a look at a Lester 6:50 x 17 (1932 Light Eight) or 7:50 x 17 (Twelve), or a blackwall or double-sided white to see if that seems to hold.
