I was always told that the bottom of the fender skirt should bisect the hex on the hubcap. Assuming the car is level and on lewvel ground.......

A picture is worth 1000 words....

P.S.

If you look at the little picture of my car, it sat low when it's picture was taken. I later went fron 2 rings to four, which took me up maybe an inch and a half FWIW

I had heard the same ting about the fender skirt bisecting the hex on the hub cap.

But have had a few V8 owners say it should be above the hex, like these cars.

Easy enough to figure out. There is a specification for riding height based on a measurement from the door sill to the ground I believe. Set the car on level pavement, check the riding height, then put a level on the door sill and get the car level, and see where the skirt intersects the wheel shell cover. Correct plus/minus if you don't have exactly the correct riding height. The important thing is to have the car level on level pavement.

The question was not directed at me, but I have some relevant experience in this matter. See:

When everything is right, the bottom of the rear fender skirts bisect the hex on the hubcap when the car is exactly level. To achieve this requires adjustable front links (to compensate for sag) as shown in the link above. IMO, the OEM different length links may not be fine grained enough to exactly set the suspension.

Nice design.

Can the pins be adjusted with the load on, or do you have to chain up the arms, and then adjust them? What thread type is used to handle the force?

Craig. Do u stil have the adjustable pins available for sale???? Advise price on a no exchange basis for 56 Executive. IIRC 55 and 56 are different pins due to the socket radius????

You have to reduce the load to zero to adjust. Nothing special about the threads except that they are the largest SAE fine that will fit.

I don't sell these, but Rowdy posted a link of somebody who does. Also, any competent machinist could make a set given the pictures.
