Hi Everybody

Back again with some more little troubles.

Having fixed the door striker plates some time back it was very disappointing to see RUST spreading from the screws when I visited her today at the restorers.

The screws go into a captive nut so the thread on any new screws must mate up, trouble is no one over here in the UK seems to know what the thread is - can anyone tell me then I might be able to replace them with galvanised or better still stainless screws ?

By the way is a special washer behind the head ? it seems to be shaped to the U/S of the head.

Maybe someone knows of a supplier of these in the U.S ?

Best regards Michael

According to parts manual screws are 12-24x 3/4" on the door strikers. McMaster-Carr has them in stainless although I don't know if the head angle is the same as the originals.mcmaster.com/#machine-screws/=e9gqir (Click on oval head, then drill down to the size and length.)

They also have the countersunk washers but it appears not in stainless for the #12 screw.mcmaster.com/#lock-washers/=e9gqza
