trailer found for Salado. see you guys down there! WOOHOO!!!

Looks like the loop was put there for side to side alignment.

got lots of work done these past few days.

i'm a pro at bending the lines. all the small lines i pretty much did by hand, the bigger fuel line i had to do with the bender.

i rebuilt the vacuum advance too. it was super easy to do. 10 bucks in material from ebay and some time and patience. the hardest part is peeling off the sealing ring. it holds great vacuum now.

if it works, i may be willing to rebuild them for other Packard folks, cheaper then the venders. maybe 40$, not sure yet.

the decals were easy too, except when they broke on me when trying to flaten them out. but i dare you to find where they broke. the breather decal broke in two places.

went and looked a the trailer for Salado on Saturday, it will work perfect!

i put on the new stainless heater hose connections. super nice and they wont rust.

i got the other side of the sway bar connected too. you can see how i made the groove in the C clamp. worked great and didn't need that little metal tab like in the SC.

i used those rubber metal line clamps as well. i figured i might as well use new instead of the old ones that were all pitted.

i got the driveshaft mounted up too. used grade 8. remember on the diff end you have to put the lock washer under the head of the bolt, not the nut. also tighten the bolt end not the nut end. its in the SC. i didn't use fine thread, but them being grade 8 they should be fine. they didn't have any fine thread in the sizes i needed.

also at the bottom is a photo of my Grandfather and Grandmother. Mike Franko gave me these this weekend, THANKS MIKE!

can anyone tell me what the shirt is he is wearing? what year and meet it was.
