Just an fyi for all my fellow v/8 members Airtex brand fuel pump part # 3450 bolts up to our engines with no problems. the only difference from a pack pump is that both inlet and outlet are on the same side. the outlet is in the correct location to use the steel line. I put one of these pumps on the Green Dragon recently and it seems to work just fine. I work for Oreilly auto parts and i got mine at work. i don't know who else carries Airtex, so you may have to do some searching if there is not an Oreilly in your area.

Sounds like the Airtex version of the Carter I posted years ago. Fits a Y block Ford.

When I bought mine the ex-gf worked there so it was only about $15 or so.

It is nice the have confirmation that this fits, though.

Anyone have a cross for the 55-6 fuel pump as used in whichever Hash models that had the vacuum assist section?

This one is listed for a 55 292 - 57 312 Ford and while the arm looks similar to Packards and the Airtex, just wanted expert opinion. I don't get employee discount. Also a little concerned about clearance to block on vacuum section.

Ford used one of those on the Y block back in the '50s, but I don't know what number it is. You need a good Oreilly parts guy to tell you that!

I can say with full honesty, she had NOTHING to do with that! I only used her for her discount.

It looks like a ford pump #4206 w/o the glass filter mount.
We sell them with the glass bowl for $125 or $99.95 without. Try locally with the #4206 number. Fits 1958-60 Ford Thunderbird with 352 not the 430.
