You'll find the Bendix TreadleVac a subject that stirs a lot of comment. A few view it as the worst brake booster ever made, others like myself have had several cars that used it and never a problem. One thought to remember, Packard was a minor user of the TreadleVac, Ford and GM used them by the millions, perhaps some time spent on their websites would provide some interesting perspective on the subject.

EDIT: Just did a quick search on AACA for "Treadlevac" and the only hits I noticed were from Packard folk or about Packards. You can draw your own conclusion.
