Most is said about Buicks in comparison to Packards. Both, the '38 Packard you posted earlier here and this '37 Buick Special, are junior models. As there was a Packard Six at an even lower level (but still in the middle class) there was no Buick Six.

Personally, I of course would prefer the Packard, but this '37 Buick is a close contender and a very smart looking car. McLaughlin Buicks were built in Canada. Probably, that makes this car even rarer.
