The running boards were taken to a shop specializing in

material used is rubberized and seems to be indestructible.
Unable to buy covers from Steele or anybody else I contacted
someone who was restoring a '40 1810. He said that he applied
fiberglass to his boards to make them smooth and then used
flat rubber used in bus walkways to cover. I wanted to retain
the washboard effect on my boards and went for Rhino lining.
It looks great!
