try a new condeser. Sometimes an engine will start and even idle when condenser isbad but will die or spit and cough alot upon slight rpm increase.

U can just hang a condeser real fast on the distributor side of coil, ground it. If that doesn't work then disconnect condenser inside of distributor and try again.

ok, IT RUNS,,,,,,,,

looks like it didn't have an idle,, that i guess was the problem,, i have by passed the ballast, using mallory coil that does not need resistor,

i did change the condenser , to an old one i had, green wire is off starter,,,,

but it has to be the idle screw was down, using used lifters, they did start to clack, bottle P L ,,they went quiet,

oil pressure, needle left of center dot, i did video it, sounds great,,,,straight pipe.........ran for over an hour... high idle, they said 2500 rpm,

thanks everyone.............on to the trans now.....

ps when it started i kept my foot on acc,,it ran,,,,let off,, it quit..........will know tomorrow, i will put it back stock..
