"Packard 433, fourth series six (produced 8/2/1926-7/1/1927), 6-cylinder, 81-horsepower, 133-inch wheelbase, 4-person coupe (body type #307), fitted with Packard deluxe emblem, wire wheels, Hollywood actress Pauline Starke, 1926 New York license plate #8B-70-41."

I don't know what you think but to me she looks like a fun-loving girl. Given, her birth name wasn't Rockefeller it begs the question, why we see her in such a wide range of Packard's? An art loving uncle, who had been Packard dealer? An advertising contract with Packard? An impressive little lady on celluloid and in bed? Who knows ...

"Sonja Henie (April 8, 1912 - October 12, 1969) was a Norwegian figure skater and film star. She was a three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936) in Ladies Singles, a ten-time World Champion (1927-1936) and a six-time European Champion (1931-1936). Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies figure skater. At the height of her acting career she was one of the highest paid stars in Hollywood..." acc. to wikipedia.
It might have been helpful that she was the first women to wear short little skirts on ice, instead of the then-accepted knee-length skirts.

Her glory seems to be everlasting and the same goes for her Packard's, be it at auctions or in movies.

After that much young ladies the time has come for a man. Here is the story of Albert C. Barnes whose life resembled those described in first-rate novels and who died in his Packard.

Very interesting story. A. C. Barnes seemed to be the archetypal Packard owner.

Tom (Rocky46), good point and not half bad either. Talking about the archetypal Packard owner means to step on thin ice. We are in a squeeze if a Packard owner is anything but stereotype. Take, for example, the case of Lucien B. LaCoste whose r?sum? claims to contain the stuff that dreams are made of.

"On the fender of his canary yellow Packard is mathematician, astronomer and physicist Lucien LaCoste, who not long ago was as good at tennis as he is now at teaching." 1931 Cactus Yearbook

This post bears in remembrance Phillips Lord, a former radio star, best known for the Gang Busters radio program that was broadcast from 1935 to 1957. Give it a quick listen if you like.
